The Vintage Vault started in Sarasota, Florida, because valuable pieces were sitting in closets and their owners had no good way to sell them.
The luxury resale market has a trust problem, and it runs in both directions. Sellers do not know what their piece is worth, do not know who to hand it to, and have heard enough stories to be wary. Buyers do not know whether what they are looking at is real, or whether the condition description is a work of fiction.
We built The Vintage Vault to sit in the middle of that and be boring about it. Inspect the piece. Document what it is. Price it against what has actually sold, not what people are asking. Photograph the flaws. Agree the terms in writing before anything is listed. Pay people what they were told they would be paid.
How the model works
The relationship begins locally or online, but the selling work stays centralized. Every accepted item receives one inventory record. The Vintage Vault controls pricing standards, listing quality, channel selection, buyer communication, sale reconciliation and payout records.
This allows inventory from different intake sources to benefit from one established selling ecosystem instead of forcing every city to create and optimize a separate set of marketplace accounts.

Additional intake markets will be announced only after local handling, storage and fulfillment standards are operational.
What we will not do
- Guarantee a sale price, or a sale at all
- Knowingly list a counterfeit item
- Hide a flaw to close a sale
- Deduct a cost you were not told about
- Take an item we do not think we can sell
